Area chefs are bringing their A game to Mactoberfest, October 19 in Downtown South Bend, offering their finest and most delicious renditions of this popular comfort food classic.
Mac-what?
Mactoberfest is our celebration of Mac and Cheese plus Oktoberfest – the best of both hot gooey comfort food and the perfect beer. It will be complete with decorations, contests, and more!
It’s an evening of indulgence in the best mac & cheese area chefs have to offer. A variety of locally owned restaurants in downtown South Bend will be participating. Purchase a wristband and to gain entry to the event. Wear your wristband and visit participating locations in any order you choose; at each one you’ll receive a sample serving of cheesy deliciousness, paired with a pour of a carefully selected beer.*
*A pour of wine will also be available as an alternative.
What’s included?
The ticket price of $40/person includes mac & cheese and beer at each location along with a logo tasting glass; the $25/person ticket includes food only, perfect for kids or designated drivers.
When and where?
October 19, from 5 to 9 PM. Pick up your glass when you get your wristband, then get started!
Where do I get tickets and wristbands?
Buy your ticket ahead online through Eventbrite. You MUST pick up your wristband and tasting glass before beginning the Mactoberfest event.
You can pick up your wristband at these locations:
- Will Call on the Gridiron – walk up from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on October 19
- Drive Thru line at Will Call 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on October 19. Pick up wristbands without leaving your car!
Your Eventbrite printed receipt or digital QR code is required for wristband pick-up.

What about the weather?
Mactoberfest will go on rain or shine and there will be no refunds. Check back often—the list of participating restaurants is subject to change at any time.

Studebaker Brewing Co., founded in 2018, is comfortably established on the third floor of Tippecanoe Place. You’ll find a relaxed, casual atmosphere surrounded by richly carved woodwork and more than a century of history.
